Spoorthi has won several competitions in various categories conducted by many renowned sabhas including the Madras Music Academy, Narada Gana Sabha, Sri Thyaga Brahma Gana Sabha (Vani Mahal), Bengaluru Gayana Samaja, to name a few.

Some of her noteworthy achievements, performances and recognitions among numerous others, are as follows:

Second runner up in the Times Thyagaraja Awards 2019 for ages 14-25 conducted in the Music Academy, judged by many notable vidwans.

Great Grand Daughters of Bharat Ratna M.S. Subbulakshmi S Aishwarya & S Saundarya are one of the most popular musicians in Carnatic Music from the younger generation. Both of them are the Great Grand Daughters of Bharat Ratna M.S. Subbulakshmi & the Grand Daughters of Dr Radha Viswanathan and indeed the torch bearers of such a precious legacy.

Aishwarya began her first lessons directly from MS Amma and Radha Viswanathan when she was hardly 4 years old on Vijayadashami Day. The huge repertoire of songs which was part of the MS Bani, was painstakingly taught to Aishwarya by her Grandmother Dr Radha for a period of almost 20 years. Aishwarya has also been learning from Karnataka Kalashree Vidushi Smt Jambu Kannan for the last 17 years. She is a proficient Veena player too training in the reputed Karaikudi style from Sri A Shankar Raman and Smt B Nagalakshmi. Aishwarya has won various awards from many organisations most notably being designated as the Ambassador of Classical Arts by the Connecticut State Assembly in 2016. She was named as the rising star of Carnatic Music by the AMN Global Group in March 2017.

She has also won the Vocational Excellence Award from the Rotary Club of India and the Young Achiever Award from the A3 Foundation – Chandigarh in the year 2016 and recently bestowed with the “Pride of India” Award by the Maharashtra Journalists Foundation. S. Saundarya has been learning under the guidance of Sangitha Kala Acharya Smt Neela Ramgopal for 5 years. She is also training on the violin under the tutelage of Smt Anuthama Murali and Sri Vishwajith Mattur. Saundarya is an upcoming dancer too training under the Vazhuvoor Bani from Smt Sumitra Nitin. Saundarya is extremely accomplished in Western Violin too having completed her Grade 3 with distinction from Associated Board of the Royal School of Music – London (ABRSM) in Nov 2019. Saundarya too has been conferred with the “Pride of India” Award by the Maharashtra Journalist Foundation.

In Oct 2017 both the sisters Aishwarya & Saundarya were invited by the Indian Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi to sing at his residence wherein they sang the composition “Maithreem Bhajatha” of Mahaperiaval of Kanchi which was composed for World Peace and sung at the United Nations in 1966 by Smt M S Subbulakshmi & Smt Radha Viswanathan. The sisters are a sensation on Social Media with their videos on Facebook and YouTube garnering over 25 million views Both the sisters are sure to become top notch performers and stars in the field of Music in the not too distant future.
